Sa Isang Buwan


"Congratulations!", magiliw kong sambit sa inyong dalawa matapos ninyong banggitin sa akin kanina na ikakasal na kayo sa isang buwan.

"Abay ka ha," sabi pa sa akin ni Girlie. "Wag ka nang mag-alala sa isusuot dahil kami naman ang sasagot. Basta magpapa-beauty ka lang at paparada sa araw ng kasal. Tsaka gwapo yung ipinareha namin sa'yo," kitang-kita sa mata ninyong dalawa ni Girlie ang excitement sa kasal ninyo.

Isang oras na kayong nakaalis. Isang oras na akong mag-isang nakaupo sa sulok ng coffee shop na ito. Isang oras ko nang binabalik-balikan ang nakaraan nating dalawa.

Madaling sabihing naka-move on na ako. Madaling ngumiti sa harap ninyong dalawa at batiin kayo ng Congratulations at Best Wishes. Pero nalaman kong hindi pala ganoon kadaling tanggapin na wala na talagang pag-asang magkabalikan pa tayo.

Pero oo, darating ako sa isang buwan, sa araw ng kasal. Magpapaganda ako, ngingiti ng ubod ng tamis na parang walang anumang sakit na nararamdaman sa puso ko.

After all, ganoon naman talaga minsan ang pag-ibig. Minsan ay kailangang magparaya kung alam mong iyon ang paraan upang lubos na lumigaya ang taong mahal mo. Kahit pa masakit, kahit pa mapait.

    this happens in real life.

    kaya nga minsan, hindi advisable na magkaroon pa ng mas malalim na friendship ang mga ex- not more than civil, i think.
