President Arroyo has signed Republic Act 9645 declaring July 27, 2009 as a Non-Working Holiday to commemorate the founding of Iglesia Ni Cristo.
Iglesia Ni Cristo is a church denomination known for its bloc-voting during elections. Thus, politicians usually seek their support during campaign periods.
